Introduction of Head:
Prof. Dr. Amna Tahir is a dedicated and compassionate academician with a strong commitment to medical education. With her expertise in physiology and medical teaching, she has been an inspiring mentor and a knowledgeable teacher to both students and colleagues. Her leadership as Head of the Department reflects her professional excellence and collaborative approach to academic development. Under her able leadership, the department has been actively engaged in both academic and co-curricular activities. She recently successfully conducted the Physiology League, an engaging academic event that was well-received by students and faculty.
Additionally, under her guidance, academic sessions are being conducted twice weekly, ensuring continuous learning and academic enrichment within the department. Her dedication to promoting interactive and quality teaching has significantly contributed to the department’s academic atmosphere.

The Department of Physiology at Allama Iqbal Medical College is a cornerstone of foundational medical education, playing a vital role in shaping the scientific understanding of future healthcare professionals. As one of the core pre-clinical departments, it is committed to excellence in teaching, training, and mentorship.
This well-established department offers a dynamic and student-friendly academic environment, designed to stimulate intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. Equipped with laboratory facilities and teaching aids, the department ensures that students not only grasp theoretical concepts but also gain practical exposure through hands-on experimentation and demonstrations.
