Dr. Rubina Aslam is Associate Professor and the Head of Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. She has done her M.B.B.S. from King Edward Medical College. She then got her Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) degree from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in 2005. She has been paying dutiful services in the department since 2006  on various prestigious positions such as Woman Medical Officer, Senior Registrar, Assistant Professor and currently as an  Associate Professor.

She is also contributing by putting efficacious efforts for the advancement of Psychiatry. For this very purpose, she has organized and participated in many psychiatric conferences, meetings and workshops. She has effectively been participating in screening and helping the college students, post graduate residents and hospital staff regarding psychiatric or psychological morbidity. As of now, being a director of all undergraduates and post graduate trainees, medical officers, and house officers, she is doing a significant job in the teaching and training of psychiatry and leading daily teaching rounds as well. She is also appointed as the Chief Editor Journal of Allama Iqbal Medical College and has been partaking in research work with more than 12 publications in renowned journals.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral sciences is the backbone of mental health at Jinnah Hospital Lahore. The department has been providing ample clinical and academic services to the hospital since its early days and been fighting the stigma associated with mental illness ever since. In addition to that, the department is engaged in active research projects many of which have gotten published in various journals, while others are currently underway. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral sciences strictly adheres to the values of medical ethics and strives at maintaining the highest quality of doctor-patient relationship.
