Molecular Diagnostic (Lab)

Dr. Fouzia Ashraf is the professor and head of Molecular Diagnostic Lab. She has established first ever BSL-3 COVID-19 Lab in SHC&MED. She is also serving as consultant for Corona Advisory Group (CAAG). She is also Principal Investigator and Focal Person for Hepatitis Outreach Program at Allama Iqbal Medical College and Jinnah Hospital, Lahore in collaboration with Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad Trust (SEAT). She also served as Principal Investigator for HEV epidemic/XDR typhoid at Allama Iqbal Medical College and Jinnah Hospital Lahore in 2019. She has also proven her leadership skills as a Focal Person at AIMC Central Pathology Lab and ISO Certification and  as an  Advisor of Punjab Public Service Commission. Not only this, she has remarkable research skills and achieved first Position in International Conference Paper Presentation in December 2016. She also has the honour of being a pioneer consultant pathologist who established first ever Medical screening Facility (MSF) at Lahore, which is expanding across Punjab over time. During her excellent career, she has won several gold medals including Sitara-e-Pakistan Gold Medal, and Quaid e Azam Gold Medal for Best Performance in the field of Science. Under her exceptional leadership and supervision, the Molecular Diagnostic Lab is on its way to become a noteworthy and state of the art facility for delivering health care services.
