Introduction

Ethical review Board (ERB) of Allama Iqbal Medical College/ Jinnah hospital Lahore is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity in medical research. Guided by its pledge to protect human dignity, rights, and welfare, the Board ensures that all research proposals are reviewed with fairness, transparency, and scientific rigor. Its core functions include safeguarding ethical compliance, promoting responsible innovation, and fostering trust in the institution’s academic and clinical endeavours. The Board consist of Main Committee which deals with the experimental research projects and a subcommittee to deal with observational study designs.

Submission of Research Proposals

• Eligibility: All research projects involving human subjects, including clinical trials, observational studies, retrospective studies, and surveys, must be submitted for review.
• Submission Process: Investigators must submit all the documents mentioned in ERB proforma in the form of 4 sets for observational studies and 6 for experimental studies.

Submission will be done to the ERB Clerk in hardcopy while the softcopy of powerpoint presentation of the research project will be sent on official email: erb@aimc.edu.pk.

All the correspondence will be done via email. No submission will be processed without email sent by the researcher on the official email of ERB.

• Deadline: Submissions should be received at least one weeks prior to the scheduled meeting.
