Ms. Farzana Iqbal currently working as Principal (BS-19) of College of Nursing, Allama Iqbal Medical College/Jinnah Hospital Lahore, since 1st October 2023. She has done her diploma in General Nursing and diploma in Midwifery from School of Nursing, Nishtar Medical College Multan in 2003. In 2004, she got her degree in BSc from University of the Punjab.
She did Post RN BSN from Aga Khan University in 2009. Moreover, she did her Master of Science in Psychology from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan in 2012 and Master of Public Health from Hazara University, Mansehra in 2014. In 2021, she got her degree in Master of Science in Nursing from Lahore School of Nursing (LSN), The University of Lahore. She is also PhD (Public Health) Scholar.
Ms. Farzana Iqbal joined Shalamar College of Nursing, Lahore, as a Nursing Instructor. In 2011, she joined Lahore School of Nursing, The University of Lahore as a Nursing Instructor and eventually rose to the level of Vice Principal at LSN, UOL. She started her Government Job as a Head Nurse (BS-17) from Jinnah Hospital Lahore in 2015. In 2017 she selected in (BS-18) through Punjab Public Service Commission and posted as Principal at School of Nursing, DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura. After serving almost one and half year, she transferred to Post Graduate College of Nursing (PGCN) and worked as Nursing Instructor (BS-18). In 2023, she got promoted to BS-19 and served as Senior Nursing Instructor at PGCN Lahore. She also served as Additional Director Nursing (Academics) on additional Charge basis.
An advocate for nursing education, research, and professional development, she has presented at national and international forums and delivered more than 20 keynote lectures and presentations. Moreover, she authored Fundamentals of Nursing: Clinical Skill Manual (2024) and Adult Health Nursing: Clinical Skill Manual (2025).
Her interest in nursing research led to the publications of 7 papers in national & international journals, furthermore, she has also awarded as best teacher at LSN UOL in 2014. She also awarded with Gold Medal as best Graduate of MSN at LSN UOL in 2022.With her vast experience, academic excellence, and commitment to the profession, Farzana is poised to bring transformative leadership to the nursing profession in Punjab, ensuring nurses are empowered and recognized for their contributions.

Introduction of College of Nursing
College of Nursing was established in 2003 in Lahore upgraded from School of Nursing. It is attached with Allama Iqbal Medical College/Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. There are more than 950 students in various degree and diploma programs. College of Nursing offers 4- Years BSN (Morning and afternoon), 2- Year Post RN BSN degree program and one year diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing and Cardiac Care Nursing. The College of Nursing at Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, envisions becoming a premier institution of nursing education, known for excellence in nursing practice, leadership, and research. We strive to foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that empowers nursing students to become highly skilled, compassionate, and ethical healthcare professionals.
