HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY ( ENT UNIT II)

He is currently serving as Head of Department of Otolaryngology and Head &Neck Surgery Unit-Il Allama lqbal Medical College\ Jinnah hospital,Lahore. As Head of department, he is actively engaged in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, participating in various academic activities and performing various surgical procedures including tumor surgeries. He is a dedicated teacher and examiner to M.B.B.S students contributing to development of medical professionals while delivering high quality patient care. He has authored and co-authored numerous research papers and has been an active member of society of Otolaryngology Pakistan. He has attended several national conferences and courses on ENT further enhancing his expertise in the field.

The Department of Otolaryngology (ENT) and Head & Neck Surgery at our hospital is a specialized unit dedicated to the diagnosis, management, and treatment of diseases related to the ear, nose, and throat, as well as head and neck . Our department is committed to provide comprehensive care to our patients. The Department consists of male & female wards, providing medical and operative facilities to the admitted patients. We also offer emergency coverage to patients on designated days. Our dedicated team comprises consultants and residents who provide services to the patients visiting our Out Patient department (OPDs). In addition to standard ENT procedures, we perform advance surgeries for Head and Neck tumors With Multidisciplinary Team. The Department is actively engaged in academic activities including publications of research papers to contribute to advancement of medical knowledge in the field.

Goals and Objectives:

The main Goal of our Department is to provide:

1 – High-quality patient care in the diagnosis, treatment and management of ENT & Head and Neck conditions and enhance community health.

2- To promote excellence in medical education and training for undergraduate students, Residents and Allied Health care Staff

3- To Advance clinical research and innovation in the field of otolaryngology and head & neck surgery.

4- To Ensure Multidisciplinary Collaboration in the management of complex cases especially head and neck tumors

Objectives

Deliver Comprehensive outpatient services.

Perform a wide range of surgical procedures.

Maintain up-to-date clinical services through CME.

Encourage search and publication.

Ensure patient safety and quality assurance.

Collaborate with other specialties.

Fostering ethical decision-making in patient care.

Our department is equipped with:

– Outpatient examination rooms.

– Inpatient beds.

– 24-hour emergency services.

– Major Operation Theaters.

– Minor Operating Theater.
